The thing I like about this one compared to others:Price-doesn't matter how much you pay the blade will go dull.

All you need is this slicer and a cut proof glove and you can get through a lot of produce. In fact we are getting ready to move and I have made up my mind to just get rid of the other ones. The only time I will go to the other ones is if I want to julienne something which is probably twice a year.

I have 4 slicers all the other ones are bigger, usually plastic, more expensive, more features.
